This class is great for stress reduction, relaxation, learning how to calm a busy mind or if you are curious about different styles of yoga.

 

No experience required, just an open mind ~ bring a pillow, blanket and warm clothing ~ come in your PJ's if you like and roll straight into bed afterwards.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercise very much in a more active style of asana practice. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasise internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga in particular provides physical, mental, emotional and energetic benefits, and for some, spiritual. Yin is yielding, allowing, and nourishing. Even within an active yang lifestyle, we can adopt a yin awareness and acceptance that will help us gain contentment in our lives. Yin Yoga also encourages you to move inward and connect to The Self.
